[He'll just get his shoes on, grab his wallet, and head outside to wait.]

[Ash takes a bit to get there since has to get the bus, but soon enough he's walking up to Pat with a wave.]

I know there's a Cheddar's at Shopping Street? I've been wanting to go there and everything on their menu looked pretty good.

[He hums thoughtfully.]

Not really, no. I... hadn't really given it much thought.

[Plus, he's just happy enough spending time with Ash.]

[The bus should be back this way soonish, but that's still enough time to think.]

What's around Cheddar's, I haven't been in that part of the city much.

Well, I know it's in walking distance of the mall...

[The bus gets there soon enough, and they spend the entire ride sharing Ash's earbuds to watch stupid videos on YouTube.

Cheddar's isn't too busy, so there's no wait and they get seated by the window within moments of getting there. Once their drink orders are taken, Ash starts looking at the menu.]

Pick a dessert, too.

[He hums thoughtfully as he starts looking at the menu. He has a pretty decent idea of what he wants already since he looked online before at least... Well, except for the desserts.]

A dessert too, really?

Yeah? I ain't tellin' them it's for your birthday, but you're still getting something.

Ah-- alright, alright...

[Glancing at those...]

They all sound good, it's almost difficult to pick...

[Hmm. Maybe the cheesecake, though.]

Just lemme know when you do, an' what you want for lunch.

[Ash, meanwhile, is easy. Bacon cheeseburger, please and thank you.]

[Mulling it over for a bit more, then...]

I'm thinking the New Orleans pasta, and the cheesecake.

Then that's what we're gettin'.

[He flags the server down so they can place their order...and they basically just have a really good lunch. They gossip and bitch about school and some of the people they know, Ash shows Pat one or two cursed things from Twitter, and then they get the cheesecake and pay. Soon they're heading out of the restaurant and into the mall.]

So where're we heading first?

[Lunch is fun and the food is great, and before Pat knows it, they're at the mall.]

I'm still not sure, to tell you the truth... I guess we could look around some of the clothing stores until we figure out something better to do?

[... Considering Pat's usual clothing styles are "vaguely preppy" and "I don't wish to be perceived," clothes shopping sure couldn't hurt.]
